Event Description:
The Education & Workforce Development Committee works to improve the future quality of your workforce by hosting many quality educational programs through local partnerships.  Meetings include a presentation by featured speakers in the areas of Education, Job Training, Human Resources and Community Programs.

The Committee coordinates interaction between businesses and the local school district, Conejo Valley Unified School District, and partners with private schools and colleges in the Conejo Valley area. The committee also encourages educational excellence by rewarding teachers and students with monthly awards and yearly scholarships.

This Month's Speaker: Peggy Wozniak - Adjunct Faculty, Keene State College
    Peggy Wozniak, originally from Buffalo, NY, has been in public education for over 40 years working in New York, California and Nevada.  Dr. Wozniak earned her B.A. in Education from Alfred University in New York, her Masters Degree in Education from the State University College of New York at Buffalo and her Doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of LaVerne in California.
 

    Dr. Wozniak has been a teacher, a school principal and a school district superintendent.   She was the superintendent of the Mammoth Unified School District in Mammoth Lakes, California for 5 years and the superintendent of the Binghamton City School District in Binghamton, New York for 10 years.   Upon her retirement as superintendent of the Binghamton District she worked for the New York State Education Department on the development of school-based leaders. 
 

    Dr. Wozniak recently relocated to Keene, New Hampshire and is currently adjunct faculty at Keene State College teaching in the Educational Leadership Graduate Program.  Prior to relocating to New Hampshire Dr. Wozniak lived in Gardnerville, Nevada and was on the faculty of the Masters in Governance Program for the California School Boards Association.  She also taught part time at the University of Nevada Reno in the Educational Leadership Graduate Program.  Dr. Wozniak is certified as a trainer for the American Association of University Women (AAUW) WorkSmart Program.

Dr. Wozniak's passion is the development of successful leaders for school and organizations with a focus on promoting women in leadership and advancing equity for females of all ages.
