Join us for our annual Regional Economic Forecast featuring keynote speaker Kristin Decas, CEO & Port Director for the Port of Hueneme and an economic update presentation by Dr. Matthew Fienup, Executive Director of the Center for Economic Research and Forecasting (CERF) at California Lutheran University.

Under Kristin Decas’s leadership, Port of Hueneme related activities generate $1.7 billion in annual economic impact and create more than 15,834 direct, indirect, induced and influenced jobs. Since Decas took the helm at the Port of Hueneme in 2012, the Port’s revenues have climbed over 30% and in 2017 the Port became the first in California to become Green Marine certified. Also in 2017, the Port was named Greenest US Port by the Green Shipping Summit. Ms. Decas is the current President of the California Association of Port Authorities (CAPA) representing California’s 11 deep water ports and was recently a Woman of the Year Award Recipient for Senate District 19.

Dr. Fienup teaches Statistical Methods, Macroeconomics and Environmental Economics in the school's Masters of Quantitative Economics program at Cal Lutheran. His specialties are applied econometric analysis, the economics of land use, and environmental markets. Matthew is a member of the Wall Street Journal Economic Forecasting Survey. He is also the Chair of the Fox Canyon Water Market Group and was recently chosen by Fox Canyon Groundwater Management Agency to serve as exchange administrator for an innovative, first of it's kind water market pilot program.
