College Hunks Hauling Junk & Moving – Thousand Oaks Donates 1,600+ Meals Through Local Jobs

This year, College Hunks Hauling Junk & Moving – Thousand Oaks is proud to have helped donate over 1,688 meals through our partnership with U.S. Hunger — and we’re just getting started. With every completed junk removal or moving job in the Conejo Valley and San Fernando Valley, meals are funded for families in need across the country.

It’s a mission that means something to our entire team — not just because of the numbers, but because of the people we meet along the way.

One recent client — a Thousand Oaks resident — was preparing to part with her bedroom furniture after the passing of her husband. She was quiet as we worked, but as we packed up the final pieces, she broke down in tears. She didn’t ask for help or a discount. She just needed a moment to breathe.

So, we gave her one. And we took care of the job at no charge.

Moments like that remind us that our work is about so much more than hauling items.

We also partner with local nonprofits like Habitat for Humanity, Goodwill, and the Salvation Army, helping clients across Westlake Village, Agoura Hills, Woodland Hills, and Calabasas donate gently used furniture and household items — keeping them in the community instead of sending them to landfills.

“Our goal is to reach 3,000 meals donated by year’s end,” says General Manager Damian Robinson.
“But our purpose is bigger than a number — our purpose is to move the world.”
